TraderControl
Operated by JW Apps Ltd
Last updated: 19 May 2026 — Version 4
TraderControl is a trading-process tracking and accountability app. It is NOT a financial advisory service, trading platform, investment tool, or broker. Nothing in the App constitutes financial advice, investment advice, or a recommendation to enter into any transaction in any financial instrument. The App measures your self-reported trading process, not your trading results. A high score reflects consistency of process only. It does not predict, indicate, or guarantee trading profits. Trading financial instruments involves substantial risk of loss, and that risk applies regardless of any score or metric shown in the App.
Health: The Focus feature includes guided breathwork sessions intended only as general mindfulness and emotional-regulation tools. They are not medical advice or treatment. Please read clause 4 before using that feature.
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the TraderControl mobile application (the “App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the “Terms”). If you do not agree, do not download or use the App.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and JW Apps Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company Registration Number 17078593), whose registered office is at 86–90 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NE (“we”, “us”, “our”, or “JW Apps Ltd”).
Age requirement. The App is intended solely for adults. You must be at least 18 years of age to download or use the App. By using the App you confirm that you are at least 18.
These Terms are between you and JW Apps Ltd alone. No director, officer, employee, or contractor of JW Apps Ltd has any personal liability to you in connection with the App or these Terms, except to the extent any such liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
TraderControl is a mobile application designed to help retail traders track and reflect on their trading process discipline. The App allows you to record self-defined process metrics across four areas — patience, execution, risk management, and trade management — and provides daily check-ins, streak tracking, process scoring, and related statistics.
The App also includes a “Focus” feature containing guided breathwork sessions, described further in clause 4.
The App does not execute trades, connect to brokerage or exchange accounts, hold or manage money, or provide any form of financial advice. All trading data in the App is self-reported by you, and any metrics, scores, or statistics are generated solely from the information you choose to enter.
Local storage and risk of data loss. Your trading data, check-in history, and Focus session history are stored only on your device. We do not currently provide cloud backup or synchronisation, and automatic device backup is disabled for the App. This means that if you delete the App, or lose, reset, or replace your device, your data will be permanently lost and cannot be recovered by us. You are responsible for retaining any record of information you wish to keep, and you should not rely on the App as your sole record of any such information.
You acknowledge and agree that:
The Focus feature includes guided breathwork sessions (currently a resonance-breathing pattern and a box-breathing pattern, each running for a short, fixed duration). These sessions are intended solely as general mindfulness and emotional-regulation tools. They are not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or therapy, and are not a substitute for professional medical or mental-health care. We make no claim that the Focus feature provides any specific health benefit.
Do not use the Focus feature while driving, operating machinery, cycling, in or near water, at height, or in any other situation where becoming distracted, dizzy, lightheaded, or faint could cause harm. The sessions are designed to run hands-free once started. Always use the Focus feature seated or lying down, in a safe place, and only when it is safe to direct your attention away from your surroundings.
Breathwork may not be suitable for everyone. You should consult a qualified healthcare professional before using the Focus feature if you are pregnant, or if you have or have ever had any cardiovascular condition, abnormal blood pressure, a respiratory condition (including asthma or COPD), epilepsy or any seizure disorder, a history of fainting or dizziness, a panic or other anxiety-related disorder, or any other health condition that may be affected by controlled breathing exercises.
Stop a session immediately if you feel dizzy, faint, short of breath, or experience chest pain or tightness, tingling, or any other discomfort, and do not resume until any symptoms have fully resolved. If symptoms are severe or persist, seek medical attention promptly.
Before your first Focus session, the App will display a safety notice summarising these points, which you must acknowledge before continuing. By using the Focus feature you confirm that you have read this clause, that you are using the feature voluntarily and at your own risk, and that you are responsible for assessing your own fitness to do so.
Nothing in this clause excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
The App offers a free tier with core features, and a paid “Premium” subscription that unlocks advanced statistics, additional trade setups, and other enhanced features. The specific features included in each tier are described within the App and may change from time to time.
The Premium subscription is available as an annual plan or a monthly plan. Indicative pricing is as follows:
Prices are set per region and may vary by country and over time. The exact price and currency that apply to you, including all applicable taxes, will always be displayed by the relevant app store before you confirm any purchase. We may change subscription prices; any change will not affect the plan you are already paying for during its current billing period, and where a change would affect a renewal you will be given notice and the opportunity to cancel before the new price takes effect.
A 14-day free trial is available on the annual plan for new subscribers only. Unless you cancel before the end of the trial, the trial will automatically convert into a paid annual subscription and the then-current annual price will be charged to your app store account. You can cancel at any time during the trial, without charge, in your app store subscription settings. The monthly plan does not include a free trial.
Subscriptions are sold and billed through the Google Play Store and, where the App is made available on it, the Apple App Store, using the account you hold with that store. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription, and turn off auto-renewal, at any time in your Google Play or Apple App Store account settings.
Because you purchase the Premium subscription at a distance, you ordinarily have a right under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 to cancel within 14 days of entering into the subscription contract. However, the Premium subscription gives you immediate access to digital features. By purchasing a Premium subscription and confirming that you want immediate access, you expressly request that the service begins straight away and you acknowledge that, once access has begun, you will lose this 14-day cancellation right. This does not affect: (a) any free trial, which you may cancel without charge as described in clause 5.3; (b) any refund available to you under the policies of the Google Play Store or Apple App Store; or (c) your rights where the App or its paid features are faulty or not as described (see clause 5.6).
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content we supply to you must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. If the Premium features are faulty or not as described, you are entitled to a repair or replacement and, where that is not possible or is unsuccessful, to an appropriate price reduction. These statutory rights apply regardless of any app store refund policy. To exercise them, contact us at support@tradercontrol.app.
All subscription payments are processed by the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. Refunds are governed by the relevant store's refund policy, and discretionary refund requests should be made to that store. JW Apps Ltd does not itself process payments and cannot directly issue refunds for store purchases. Nothing in this clause affects your statutory rights under clauses 5.5 and 5.6.
UK law governing subscription contracts is changing under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024. When the new subscription rules take effect, we will update these Terms and our practices (including any required renewal reminders and cooling-off rights) to comply.
You agree not to:
The App, and all software, text, graphics, and other content within it (other than data you enter), are owned by or licensed to JW Apps Ltd and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your own personal use, including in connection with your own personal trading activity. You may not copy, distribute, sell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the App or its content.
You retain ownership of the data you enter into the App. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process that data solely to provide the App's functionality to you, as described in our Privacy Policy.
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from defects, or that any metric, score, or statistic it generates will be accurate, given that these depend entirely on the accuracy and completeness of the data you enter.
Nothing in this clause affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including the rights described in clauses 5.6 and 9.1.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for: (a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; (c) any breach of the terms implied by the Consumer Rights Act 2015 that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited; or (d) any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law of England and Wales. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by these Terms.
Subject always to clause 9.1, and to the fullest extent permitted by law:
Subject always to clause 9.1, our total aggregate liability to you arising out of or in connection with these Terms and your use of the App shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the total amount you paid in respect of the App, whether to us or through an app store, in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim; or (b) £50.
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. Deleting the App does not cancel an active paid subscription — you must cancel that separately through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you materially or repeatedly breach these Terms. We will give you reasonable notice before doing so, except where the breach is serious or immediate action is necessary to protect the App, other users, or third parties.
If we terminate your access for a reason that is not your fault or breach, we will refund the unused portion of any subscription fee you have already paid. If we terminate because you have seriously or repeatedly breached these Terms, no refund will be due.
We are not liable for any failure or delay in providing the App that is caused by events outside our reasonable control, including failures of internet, hosting, or app store infrastructure, power or telecommunications failures, or acts of government. This does not affect your statutory rights.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms within the App and update the “Last updated” date. Where a change is material and adverse to you, we will take reasonable steps to bring it to your attention before it takes effect. If you do not agree to a material change, you may reject it by ceasing to use the App; if you reject a material change and have an active paid subscription, you may cancel and we will refund the unused portion of the current billing period. Your continued use of the App after a non-material change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
If you have a complaint about the App, please contact us at support@tradercontrol.app. We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 business days and aim to provide a full response within 14 days. If your complaint concerns possible harm to health, please tell us so that we can prioritise it.
JW Apps Ltd is not currently a member of an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) scheme. If we are unable to resolve your complaint, you may seek free advice from Citizens Advice, or pursue the matter through the courts as described in clause 15.
TraderControl is distributed through the Google Play Store and may also be made available through the Apple App Store. These Terms are a binding agreement between you and JW Apps Ltd only. The relevant app store provider is not a party to these Terms.
Where you download the App from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that: these Terms are between you and JW Apps Ltd, not Apple Inc.; JW Apps Ltd, not Apple, is solely responsible for the App and its content; Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App; and Apple, and Apple's subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You also confirm you are not located in a country subject to a relevant US embargo and are not on a relevant US restricted-parties list.
Where you download the App from the Google Play Store, your use is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. Google LLC is not a party to these Terms and has no obligations or liability in respect of the App.
These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction, except that, if you are a consumer resident in another part of the United Kingdom, you may also bring proceedings in your home jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer, you will benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you are resident. Nothing in these Terms affects your rights as a consumer to rely on such mandatory provisions of local law. The App is intended primarily for users in the United Kingdom.
